Ebay Car big buck low mileage '73 does the seller have a clue?

This may be-and probably is-a very nice car, but is the seller simply missing a bolt or two?

For 20K (or more) for a '73 automatic with upgrades, I would expect to see the floors, the actual seats, and more detail in the pictures-telling a seller what he won't do(pull up the carpet, list what comes with the car) only inspires me to tell him what I won't do-give any consideration to buy!

Paint does not fade from being stored in a garage....

Hearing that his "Marvelous Mechanic" with "extensive experience buying and selling on eBay, and he knows better than anyone else the mechanical condition of my car.", delegated an ad for such an automobile does not inspire me to think the mechanic thought the car was a 20K car either. Couple that with the variables that the law allows when buying a car from a private individual, and not someone "in the business", and there is a great deal of potentially problematic ground.

This is a genleman who should use a realtor to sell his house, and a mechanic or dealer to sell his car. He sees what he knows is there, and not the seller holding the money. I bet it will be ten days untill he finds he is too buisy to sell the car.

sounds like a person I wouldn't care for , a few things don't look correct to me , but I admit its a very nice car not a 20k 73 z < to me >, atleast for me being an automatic makes it less desireable , hhm just my 2cents

I think this guy loves his car very much. He has had it for over 30 years. I would think it would be hard to let go. Maybe the high price tag will help him buy that Mercedes or Porche or so his heart won't hurt so much.

Some more pictures, undercarrage, battery tray, floor boards and some of the common rust spots. The car does seem to be in pretty good condition. But my 73 is in better condition. If his sells for 19k then I'm selling mine for 29k.

Once you cross the Westchester County line(read land of rich and famous) the price drops to 7k. And how can you aspire to sell to " collectors "with a four barrell instead of stock system??? Blah...Blah also

this is a really really really nice Z for being all original, but he does seem kinda bananas. I think Ed is right about parting with a Z... i dont think i could imagine the pain!... Anyways I would like to see a hell of alot more pictures and the engine bay seemed like kind of a mess to me. In a way it is all original because he has the Carbs and all that good stuff. I did take the time to read the whole entire page and if i were interested in buyin the car i would write to him asking for more pics, why the price is so so high, tell him my knowledge of the Z because compared to his im freakin Einstein and i would like pics of the documentation, but most of all i would have to see it in person before making any kind of a deal because this guy is either sad or an arse =)

Everyone should have the reflective tape on the bumpers !!!! I have not seen many cars with 113 green and the brown interior is nice !!! But starting at $19,000 is definitely strectching it !!!! Sounds like a yuppy owner to me !!!!

By longer lines he really means bumpers that stick out a little more (more than '70 to '72 anyhow). If he really wants longer lines he should go for a later 2+2.
