Posted August 7, 200519 yr comment_133267 hey guys, well today i took the head off of my 260 to try and ID it but im still not sure what i have, even after a good hour and a half of searching Z sites. lots of contradictory info out there that left me dazed and confused. :stupid: So.....I measured the valves and they came out to be 30mm exh. 36mm in.as far as i know the head is stock and it does NOT have the little bump in the combustion chamber i have seen on some e88s, which leads me to believe its a LATE head? no? it also has a little gap between the deck surface and the combustion chamber. in other words, the shape of the chamber and the deck dont blend into each other.what do i have? this is driving me nuts. Thanks a bunch. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16813-e88-valve-size/ Share on other sites
August 7, 200519 yr comment_133281 HiAccording to the "How to....Datsun overhead engine" book the late E88 (after 8-76) came with 42 int. 35 exh. Than, 42 int. 33 exh (up to 7-73). There was also a 2-bbl set up that came with 38 int. 33 exh. Hope that helps. http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/z.htmlCheers, Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16813-e88-valve-size/#findComment-133281 Share on other sites
