E Prod 240Z wins at VIR

VIR looks like a beautiful track. Is that Grayson Upchurch's old car? He came so close to winning the runoffs in past years, it would be great to see that car finally win.
VIR is an awesome facility. Yes Greg is running Grayson's old 240Z. His team bought the car and has done very well with the old workhorse. I plan to be at the Runoff's to find out if Greg can bring home a National E Production championship.

Here are but a few of the pics I took with my brand new Nikon digital SLR.

If you want to capture the action in the photo you can switch your camera to shutter priority mode (Tv). Try playing in the 1/125 to 1/325 range (try to stay above 1/focal length for the shutter speed). This will add some blur to the background the wheels will look like they are spinning. You'll need to pan and practice, practice, practice. It looks like you've got some nice equipment and good subjects.

Outstanding pictures ..... you did terrific job with a new camera.

Where is VIR located?

What is mfg date on your '71Z?

Thanks! VIR is located just east of Danville VA. Actually near a small town called Milton VA. My '71 was built 2/71. Car was actually bought new in Florida. I have the original warranty card with the owners name & address on it.

Mark,

Thanks for getting these cool pics on the website. VIR is a place that all racers, spectators, and crew should visit at least once. Full course is 3.27 miles long with 250 feet of elevation change. I will never forget that race.

Oh, I saw a comment on a Production Car forum website from an corner worker who was working at turn 1 during the race. He said the lead car (RX7) got sideways on his own and lost the lead. I sleep well at night.

Greg,

No problem. It was a great race to see. What's the Production Car Forum web address?
