Posted August 9, 200519 yr comment_133559 I tried a few searches but came up empty handed. A link would be great.I bought my 240Z from the original owner who says the original engine was rebuilt, but the paper work from 1991 says,Qty..Part number........Name of part..........................Price1.....1010B-P7110RE....Reman Niss. Eng --> 7/79........1515.13which leads me to believe he bought a remanufactured engine which would not be numbers matching.Any thoughts would be great. Thanks, Z Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16844-how-do-i-know-if-my-engine-is-original/ Share on other sites
August 9, 200519 yr comment_133560 Zach,I am unclear if your car is an American import or not, but if it is HLS30, the original engine number is stamped on the VIN plate mounted to the right-hand shock tower in the engine bay. Directly adjacent to the VIN plate, a flat spot on the top of the engine block has the engine number stamped into it. Give a look and report back.
