Posted August 10, 200519 yr comment_133626 Hello all! I'm currently the owner of a 98 240sx and an 89 Silvia clone. I plan to purchase my first Z (1978) after I sell my 98 to a family member. It's so refreshing to join a board with members who rather help, than chastise :classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16850-hello-i-was-driven-away-by-the-240sx-crowd/ Share on other sites

August 10, 200519 yr comment_133634 It looks good, but inspect it well and be prepared to walk away. Don't sell yourself. battery box, frame box area behind the wheels, window frames, rear hatch area. Please don't buy a pretty Rust bucket with nice paint. No one needs a shiney parts car.Is the Silvia crowd that bad? That's unfortunate. August 10, 200519 yr comment_133653 Welcome! I'm sure you'll have an absolute blast owning the Z. It is a very different car.Nevertheless, would you mind posting a picture or two of your S13s? August 10, 200519 yr Author comment_133664 Don't let the pics of the Z fool you. It was wet and it's paint looks very dull and original. I have very few pics of my S13 so, here are some very old ones when I first got it started. It handled like a skateboard (all new bushings, coils, arms...) Now it's on jack stands (axle came undone prompting more upgrades ) hls30.com, Have any ties to Asian Automotive? August 10, 200519 yr comment_133699 Mickey Carter owns and operates Asian Automotive, and he is an outstanding mechanic. If I didn't do the work on my car, I would pay Mickey to. Mickeys Dad is one of my closest friends-and a Master Datsun mechanic-he is the one that came up with the "factory fix" for the '73 carbs. Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16850-hello-i-was-driven-away-by-the-240sx-crowd/#findComment-133699 Share on other sites
