Electric fuel pump for a 72 Z

I recently installed an electric fuel pump on my 72 z to cure the vapor lock problem.

I found the wires taped as described at the back of the car. I also found the "L" connectors taped on the driver's side of the console.

The problem is the pump works only when the light switch is on.
