August 11, 200519 yr comment_133805 The 154 is a beautiful drive but is usually not a shortcut, especially if you get stuck behind someone towing a boat to Lake Cachuma, which happens pretty frequently in the summer months. August 11, 200519 yr comment_133808 Yeah, I never think of it as a shortcut. You'll get slow trucks too. More like a scenic route with a few nice twisties. August 11, 200519 yr Author comment_133835 Someone at work recomended it - figure we'd give it a try for once...Our 2.8L engines will come in handy in we need to pass any slow moving vehicles...I'm not too worried.-e Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16864-shortcut-to-monterey-historics-from-los-angeles/#findComment-133835 Share on other sites
