Posted August 15, 200519 yr comment_134242 My name is Cameron. I'm 20 years old (almost) and I currently drive a 93 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition. I've been wanting to get a RWD sporty car ever since my friends started drifting. My dad used to be a big fan of Z's (240z's in particular) and I was curious; are 240z's anything for drifting? I know the 240sx is an awesome car for it, but I think the 240 datsun is a classic. August 15, 200519 yr comment_134244 With the right amount of power, a LSD and a very stiff rear suspension they can be driven sideways. I think the 240 SX would be better though and cheaper to build. The Zcars are better for track racing and autocrossing. August 16, 200519 yr comment_134336 I thought long and hard about drifting the Z, but realistically, there is a lot of work needed on the suspension and chassis, and more power required. Plus, part of drifting is crashing (even the pro's go) and panels are hard to find. I hate to say it, but the Z isn't cut out for it unless you have a lot of cash to spend. Go with something popular like a 240sx or silvia with an SR20, as you can get the parts you need easily. (..... had to...) anyway, a 240sx of some sort or another would mos def be better; Zs are designed to handle Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16900-an-introduction-and-a-question-on-240z-drifting/#findComment-134378 Share on other sites
