240z 4 core radiator. Where can I buy one?

I have a 71' 240z that has a working A/C.

Of course the A/C kills the radiator. A 240z overheats well enough with out the added A/C.

I have ordered a 4 core radiator from MotorSports, but they are back-ordered till they find a new supplier. I'm not sure how long that will take.

My car is due to come back from my mechanics in a few weeks, and I need to get a new radiator before then.

Any suggestions?

Will a 3 core work just as well?

Where should I buy a "new" radiator?

Mark

If you have to have a 4 row:

1-800-540-1111 (outside L.A.)

#110 2.5" depth 4 row $175 + 13.64

Ramone - order

For a 3 row:

I'm not sure what the Size/Depth I need for my 240Z

The price on the 4 row looks pretty good.

Have you used either of these radiators, or known anyone who has.

Also,

I don't know if I need a 4 row or not. It may be over kill.

I do know I've had 3 previous 240z's and all of them have over heated easily.

And none of those had A/C

There is a thread in this forum about radiators. From what I remember it is not the number of cores rather the size of cores. There were photos also included in the thread.

I thought as you that 3 is better. Well...not! I live in a hot climate also and had A/C with a cooling problem and replaced my original 71 radiator with a 3 row core and still could not run the A/C when at a red light (got too hot). I haven't corrected the problem yet so when you make the purchase let us know the results. Sorry I can't provide more info...but look for the thread.

A '74 260Z radiator is an exact match to your stock radiator, but is a 3 core radiator. I just drove my '73 for 10.5 hours in 104 degrees (no AC except in a box in the trunk) and the water temp never went over the half way point. I think the 3 core should work well for you.
