Posted August 19, 200519 yr comment_134838 The distributor in my 240Z has a bit of play in the shaft. I have another distributor in a box of spares I got with the car that seems nice and tight, but is pretty dirty. I thought I'd disassemble it, clean it up, put new points & condenser on it and give it a try. Maybe take the best parts from both dizzys. The vacuum advance is kinda sticky on both the one in the car and the spare. Do any of you have any advice or other insight on the subject? Are there areas that should be lubricated and what should I use for lubrication? It looks like if I'm not careful it would be real easy to get it 180 degrees off on reassembly.
