Posted August 21, 200519 yr comment_135057 Well,I just got a 'new' set of round top SU's installed and the throttle return springs on the linkage is over stretched so now, unless I stick my foot under the gas pedal to pull it back up it'll idle at 3000 rpm.Since it's sunday, I haven't had a chance to call the local Nissan dealership to see if they're still available.Anyone have any suggestions?I've thought about wiring enough coils together to increase the spring rate, but haven't jumped down that path yet.Cheers,LWW Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16994-need-throttle-return-springs-for-new-sus/ Share on other sites

August 21, 200519 yr comment_135066 If I remember right it's in the hardware section. They have a section with little drawers, where they have nuts & bolts and washers. It should be there. Another place to look is a Sears hardware store. They have an extensive selection of springs. August 21, 200519 yr comment_135069 Our local home depots dont carry stuff like that anymore - I've only had luck finding stuff like that at a REAL hardware store, like our local Ace stores. Home Depot around here mostly has drywall, lumber, and nails and noone there is smart enough to confirm/deny they sell anything Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16994-need-throttle-return-springs-for-new-sus/#findComment-135069 Share on other sites
