Posted August 23, 200519 yr comment_135436 Just put some isolators on my triple set-up. What a difference in the heat transfer, or lack of it! After a very short (2 mi.) run, I couldn't put my hand on the manifold just behind the carb, but could hold the carb flange. They also have some vibration damping that seems to keep my idle a bit more even. These things are definitely worth it. Got them from www.racetep.com for about $15 ea. August 24, 200519 yr comment_135444 I've though about these too. I have Dellorto's bolted up to a Redline long runner manifold with only the paper gaskets. It's the $100 investment for these small items that keeps me from jumping on board. I fabricated an aluminum heat shield which runs to full length of the intake and blocks out all direct radiated exhaust heat except the very most top of the headers. I hope that is enough to eliminate fuel boiling or vapor lock. These haven't been run in yet because I'm just finalizing the choke setup. Time will tell.
