Red-Kote Fuel Tank Liner

Anybody out there other than "spdloader" that has used this product before?? Trying to do a side-by-side comparison with "Tank-Renu" which appears to be the better product at first glance and costs quite a bit more... (approx. $200-300 or more, depending on the condition of the fuel tank)

Downloaded some "Red-Kote" general installation info/MSDS sheet in case anyone wants to check it out.

This was used by the radiator shop that boiled out my gas tank to seal it. It seems to have worked well, although it has only been a few months, no complaints so far.

It is really pliable though. There was some residule on the outside of the tank and i could literally peel it off with my finger, so i was initally concerned with it's ammount of protection.

I don't know if the outside of the tank being painted had something to do with it (Couldn't bond)? but i tried to do the same inside the filler neck and it wouldn't come off, so who knows.

Hope this helps.

stand by for a write up using POR15 tank sealer...that's what I did to my tank... the stuff is like concrete. Got the tank boiled, and then did it all myself--approx $70 after boil and it's better than having someone else do it.

Any I also coated the outside of the tank as well (do they even do that?)....the outside was worse than the inside...now my tank is the strongest thing on my rig!

Before (right after getting it back from boiling):

I will get the write up done this weekend...I've been trying to get the pictures moved to an album, but I've been trying with Mike for months....I'll just do it with them in their current places....
