He says he found rust on the floor board that was isolated to the "outer skin" If he is the Z enthusiast he claims to be he should know that means that obviously the floor that is below that "outer skin" must be far worse rusted that a piece of non metal that lays above it. Must be a marketing ploy

From the outside it looks to me like a relatively nice 71 with paint and a G-nose! The rest of the car looks to be the typical old and used up Z car destine for a resto job. I wouldn't give him more than $2K for it...at best!

I am not a G-Nose fan either, but everyone has different tastes !!!!!

At the time of my post, there is almost 3 days left and it is at $2,650.00 with 29 bids.... I think it will go for about $3,500.00 to $4,000.00 when the auction ends on Saturday afternoon. If the car were located in California, I think it would go for more money.

This car doesn't meet my idea of immaculate. But I guess if you overlook the dented front bumper and drivers side front fender being bent behind the wheel and the poorly designed weber down draft kit installed I guess it could be considered immaculate. ROFL

why don't people like the Gnose?

I didn't like the Gnose when I first got into Zeds. I think it's a combination of things that put people off.

The first being the number of poor copies that have been produced and fitted. They really look naked without the light covers and flares and some nice Watanabe's.

It's also the kind of thing you need to see in person. I know once I saw the Gnose in person I was very impressed with the way it finished off the car it also gives the car a more modernish look(as my friend said it babies the car). Very Ferrari reminescent.

There is a far difference between this Ebay Gnose Z and some of the beauties you can find in Japan. I also guess it's an aquired taste rather like the old skylines C10, C110 alot of people don't seem to like them. I myself do but then again not everyone was born with taste hey Bill :rambo:

Inner skin, outer skin? The floors made of 1 sheet of metal. there is not inner and outer. Z floors seem to rust from the inside out anyway.
