2006 350Z Commercial

Just Imagine, Nissan paid someone well to come up with that commercial.

Now,

Imagine getting paid to be in that commercial.

Oops,

I forgot Nissan paid to have a copy the Audi TT bodywork

oh, yes,

They let someone else buy the rights to "Girl, you really got me now"

It still brings up the 300 Barbie/GI Joe excitement.

I am missing the message their actions are sending.

The commercial is much more enjoyable with your eyes closed, or the sound off, but not both.

Maybe we can come up with a more fitting soundtrack-that should have been a the G35 ad. A Z should have more enjoyment in spirited driving than sputtering a tune shows-the ear to ear grin should make making that noise a physical impossability-drivin g a Z is supposed to embody excitement, not reactions equivalent to listening to a song whilst warming the loo seat, and thinking about going for a drive when you get through.

I got more excitement from the guy mumbling bad to the bone in "The Night Before" in a stolen Mustang.

Needless to say, today has sucked.

I always thought "The Run", maybe with some kickin' tunes, would've made a great commercial. I know the first time I saw it, it most definitely had my attention. I guess it promoted speeding and bottoming out your new car.

Check it out. Song by Arlo Guthrie.

Nee naw nee naw nee naw, screeech. Mr 26th-Z, the Nitpick Police are placing you under arrest.

Love it or hate it, that song was written by Arlo's dad. One of the greatest figures in American cultural history - and a secret hero of mine - Woody Guthrie.

Totally inappropriate for the Z33 commercial I reckon. A different soundtrack would transform the ad.

OK, we are letting you off with a stern caution this time. :bunny: Just be more careful in future.

Ahh yes..."song BY Arlo..." Sorry. That should read; "Authored by Woody (a devout communist I'm told from the right-wing Christians) sung by Arlo." I don't get it with all you sour-pusses. I love that ad. Makes me chuckle and make mouth noises in my car like I was a little kid again. And BTW, Alan. Heads up. Package in the mail to you. Global Express. Should arrive next week some time. Brrppp Broomp Brrppph

.....Woody (a devout communist I'm told from the right-wing Christians)

Too right! ( err, left ).

Not to turn this into a political history discussion, but the World needed a few "this machine kills fascists" stickers on guitars when Woody was around.

And BTW, Alan. Heads up. Package in the mail to you. Global Express. Should arrive next week some time. Brrppp Broomp Brrppph

Ooh. Intriguing. I'll be waiting by the door. What delights lay within, I wonder?

The Royal Mail and FedEx are in my bad books, so Global Express had better not mess it up or else.

I owe you a package in return, of course. Any ideas how to get a Nissan 8-track player over to the USA without it being mistaken for a WMD? :tapemouth ROFL

Black Z looks freakin' Awesome!

But no need to sugar coat it, the song sucks and has absolutely no buisness in a sports car commercial. I turned the volume down and played Bad Religion's Come Join Us off the Gray Race album ... much more fitting and the tempo matched perfectly.
