Posted August 29, 200519 yr comment_136097 I am in the process of freshing up the front of my 1978 280z - new disks, ss btrake lines, struts, poly bushings. I wanted to get new springs but cannot find anything anywhere at the stock ride height. Seems that all the Euro springs are gone - even though many people list them for sale. I haven't tried dealer yet (any bets on that one) Can anyone help? Oh - also I have heard the "you may sagging so much now that lower springs will be the same or higher" Anyone care to comment with anecdotal evidence? August 29, 200519 yr comment_136136 Try here: http://www.zzxdatsun.com/When I was re-doing my 240 suspension, Mike said he had a place that could make spring for him at the stock specifications. They weren't cheap though.I ended up finding some Euro springs off Ebay. They were supposed to lower the car by 3/4". The cars now sits significantly HIGHER than it did before.Marty Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17080-cant-find-stock-height-springs/#findComment-136136 Share on other sites
August 29, 200519 yr comment_136138 Oh - also I have heard the "you may sagging so much now that lower springs will be the same or higher" Anyone care to comment with anecdotal evidence?I can attest to that. I just swaped my sagging rear suspension for a set of tokico illuminas and matching springs (Which were supposed to lower the car 1"). The car sit's exactly the same. August 29, 200519 yr Author comment_136144 Thanks guys - I guess I'll have to go with the aftermarket lowering stuff - FYI www.springworks.com quoted me $228 for 2. That was stock height but 120# front 140# rear. September 7, 200519 yr Author comment_137243 I like the stuff Arizonazcar sells and the price - but he says his springs lower a 280 by 1.5 in. - not what I am looking for. I am looking at the Suspension Techniques spring at http://www.upgrademotoring.com Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17080-cant-find-stock-height-springs/#findComment-137243 Share on other sites
