September 1, 200519 yr comment_136704 You shouldn't notice any difference, ethanol has been added to gas here in the states for a long time as far as I can remember. September 1, 200519 yr comment_136710 The methanol gas is what we get here in Michigan. It burns fine, you won't notice a difference. It just costs more so it hurts when you put it in... September 1, 200519 yr Author comment_136717 our goverment says it will be 10 cents a liter cheaper than regular gas. there's one company( UPI) now that sell 10% ethanol for the last few years and it's always the same price. the goverment can't explain the descrepency, or lie. September 2, 200519 yr comment_136718 We have had ethanol for years here in Spokane as a mandatory winter blendto reduce CO emmissions.Thank God we just acheived "attainment" status with the EPA so this crap wont be mandated three months out of the year.I have kept long-term mileage records on all my cars for the last 15 years. The 10 percent ethanol blend they sell here results in about 15 percent lower mileage for all my vehicles. 8,6, and 4 cylinder vehicles. If it were cheaper that would be a different deal. The price we paid here was the same as normal gas. You may also be aware the Bush energy bill has a provision to mandate ethanol blends for all gas. The thinking being we have a plentiful supply with the farmers who grow corn.Good for farmers, bull $^!# for the rest of us!
