Posted May 21, 200222 yr comment_7523 Ahahah... you are so curious! I have no pict of it but I may have a tips for you. I was looking at the MSA pictures and while some peoples went very far on the sport or custom look, I was a little disappointed by the side mirror looks on their cars. I am also a motorcycle nut and I encourage you to check the mirrors the superbikes have. We have some really nice shape here and they have (for my taste of course) the right size for a car like a Z. With a nice tricky look, but not too busy… This is just another option!Just my 0,10 euro, Fred Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1716-look-back-at-that/ Share on other sites
May 21, 200222 yr comment_7529 I need to do something about my mirrors....Just bought some from MSA and they are ABSOLUTE JUNK!!! The mounts did not accept the set screws right and now--just a few miles later, they are all loose and crappy. Very disappointing. And I specifically asked them on the phone if the mirrors were junk. "Oh no, these are very high quality."steve77 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1716-look-back-at-that/#findComment-7529 Share on other sites
May 21, 200222 yr comment_7530 Yeah I ordered some Z mirrors from MSA and I didn't like them either. A few months later I saw a post on ebay for '73 240Z mirrors'. I bought them for $10 and when I got them I found out they were the exact same friggin mirrors!! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1716-look-back-at-that/#findComment-7530 Share on other sites

May 21, 200222 yr comment_7535 I replaced mine through my local Nissan dealer's parts office. $80 for left side mirror, but it IS the original mirror - very good quality, very snug, and nice looking to boot. MAjor junk.My first disappointment with MSA, after MUCH happy shopping.steve77 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1716-look-back-at-that/#findComment-7548 Share on other sites
May 22, 200222 yr comment_7550 I have some like the 1152 "Flag" style, I am not sure if they are the same brand because I did not buy them at MSA. Twice the plastic base has broken. I lost the passenger one last time but still have the drivers side. I would love to use the stock mirror, but Nissan never made a passenger side one to match. I am currently thinking about the chrome bullet sytle because they are period. I have also been looking at late 60's or early 70's Corvette mirrors. But still not quite sure what I am going to do yet.I have a few that look like the 1153 "Racing" style that have come on various parts cars as well. But I am trying to get away from plastic mirrors.Good luck!
