Hey everyone Im looking at a 1973 240z on the east coast it was supposed to be from California they have no old documentation to support the fact -i.e smog certifiactes ,titles, registrations ect any way to tell or verify this based on the cars vin # ??

Good question.

AFAIK, there is no way. However, I'm hoping to learn something from this thread in the hopes that it proves me wrong.
