September 13, 200519 yr comment_138050 Using my ex-Soviet photo black bar decoder I was able to identify three of the main players in HS30-H's historic photo. Left to right- Pete Brock, Ron Carter and John Morton! This certainly muddies the which came first BRE or 432R water.Very funny. Although Brock and Morton look a little old.Maybe this will serve as an excellent 'aide memoire' to Ron Carter and Brian Pilati......... And who the hell is Dan? September 14, 200519 yr comment_138121 ...My ride is current an ugly patchwork of black primed rust repair patches. I'm too ashamed to show it.No shame...you're amongst friends...1 spinout and the Northridge EQ took a toll on mine...I'm hoping to get into paint/body by the weekend...it's been a LONG time for mine but it'll be worth the wait and $$$...thanks for the info!:beard: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17204-msa-bre-rear-spoiler-heads-up/?&page=4#findComment-138121 Share on other sites
September 17, 200519 yr comment_138380 I wish I had the room to put mine up like that. Unfortunately I don't and it's a daily driver for now. I did put new seat covers on the driver's seat. Wow, what an improvement! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17204-msa-bre-rear-spoiler-heads-up/?&page=4#findComment-138380 Share on other sites
September 17, 200519 yr comment_138389 Bryan, what are you saying? Your car looks great. You want to see some black primer, heh, look at my Z. I think she looks great for her condition. You should be proud! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17204-msa-bre-rear-spoiler-heads-up/?&page=4#findComment-138389 Share on other sites
September 17, 200519 yr comment_138418 Les Cannaday told me that the 432 rear spoiler is the Nissan factory spoiler. So when you go to a car show, you can say it is the same as a Nissan factory accessory. Also, I understand that the 432 has the flat area for mounting the rear deck emblems. The BRE rear spoiler was based on the 432 but not exactly the same and did not have the flat area. This is what I've been told. The BRE "spook" that Les sells is an authentic BRE spook since he owns the original molds. The "BRE" spook from Motorsport Auto is not authentic and is cheaper made (I've heard) and does not have the extra mounting holes as 71ZZZZZ stated. If you want authentic BRE, buy from Les only. I've been told that MSA has been copying Les' fiberglass and carbon parts (using the same fabricator), making changes and selling cheaper versions. Notice they sell carbon fiber hoods and spoilers? According to Les, he came out with that hood first.Personally, when I can buy from Les, I will. He's a small company and seems to have his heart in the right place. I will be buying his 432 rear spoiler when the time comes, just as I purchased his BRE spook. The spook had a very fine finish and looks of good quality.I agree. I will support Les when I can.
