September 13, 200519 yr comment_138032 Those Watanabe's look awesome. I like the stretch. I have 7.5J wide wheels that I planning to put 205's on. That is not too much of a stretch. I have seen 14 by 8j with 195 x 60. That is a stretch.Take care,Ben Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17252-rear-watanabes-mounted-lots-of-pics/#findComment-138032 Share on other sites

I guess it was a liability thing or that they didn't know what the hell they were doing. Finding the right person proves them wrong. I plan on driving by once I get the fronts mounted to prove a point. September 14, 200519 yr comment_138082 Hi Joe, I'm very interested in what your trying to achieve here. I too have been wanting to buy a set of Watababe's 16X9 for my 240z. I would like to avoid cutting the guards much like you.Can you tell me where you got them and if you don't mind also what they cost?Cheers Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17252-rear-watanabes-mounted-lots-of-pics/#findComment-138082 Share on other sites

I would like to avoid cutting the guards much like you. Can you tell me where you got them and if you don't mind also what they cost? Cheers What I am trying to achieve is to have the ultimate old school JDM look without sacrificing ride quality and not hacking the rear quarters up to make my wheel and tire package fit. In Japan, when they run big, wide wheels they stiffen up the rear suspension to eliminate rear squat so that the tires don't rub. I am looking to achieve the same goal, but tighten it up incremental. This will accommodate my L28ET buildup :) I purchased the wheels from Joji at www.wheelchoice.com for $2300 w/ lug nuts, locks and center caps.
