Konig Rewind photoshop

Aussie Zed

Recommended Posts

Hi all, i'm looking into getting some Konig Rewinds - seem like pretty good value to me.

Anyway, i've done some pretty (read: very) dodgy photoshop work and have superimposed them over the top of my wheels. I'm just after some opinions of what people think looks the best. If i had my way i'd have black with a polished lip on a white or silver car - but i reckon red is too dark a colour to have black wheels.

The jellybean wheels are what i've got on it at the moment and are 14s. I think i'm going to get 15" Rewinds.

Opinions...

I personally don't like the Rewinds.

I think the style is fine but I much prefer the look of either Minilites, Superlites, Watanabe(of course) & Panasports.

Personally I have the superlites they look alright but my preference is for Watanabe's then Panasports.

There is a guy who was at the Nationals advertising Panasports can't remember who though.

I think black centre's are cool with the polished lip section. Gold is a bit tacky on a red car IMHO then again I'm sure it works on some Zeds.

If you do get Konig's get them with the all polished look.

Thanks for all your thoughts, mostly along the lines i'm thinking.

I had looked into the superlites, which were around the same price as the rewinds but i didn't think they looked right - too many spokes or something??? But i've just gone and had a look at Gav's car, which has them on already and i reckon that looks pretty damn good.

Here's the link to that pic:

Mind you, i reckon the konigs on Orange260's car look pretty good too. Here's the link to that pic:

I've come to the conclusion that red car's need shiny silver wheels though.

I've attatched the pic of how the superlites look on their own - i still think they look wrong off the car!

Why would you want to get rid of the 5 spoke wheels you already have.

They are classic.

Just put a little elbow grease into them and they will polish up like new.

It's getting a little hard to find good (wide) 14 inch tyres around here lately. Most cars come with 15 inch stock. Most of the old fords and holdens have switched to 15 inch plus wheels as well.

That's why I changed from 14's to 16's, even though I have a nice set of Jellybeans like those pictured, as well as a set of 5 280zx mags. Running 185's isn't cool :smoke:

Aussie: I'm looking at the rewinds for my zed too....also a red one. While I generally like a charcoal coloured wheel with the polished lip, I think with the red paint it just doesn't quite work. The silver/lighter grey would look fantastic and would certainly be the more generally accepted look, however I'm very tempted to go for them in all black/charcoal, no polished lip. I'm a bit of a sucker for that look. :)

He posts over on Performance Forums. I have his contact if anyone that wants it.

Same problem here. I quite like my 14" hotwires, they suit the car very well. But once the Yoki A509s that are on there now wear out, there'll be VERY little choice in the way of replacements.

I think the wheels look 'not quite right' because the flat centre bit that the spokes attach to is just to big.

Agreed. Same reason I prefer the Konigs.
