Posted May 22, 200222 yr comment_7557 swithing the L24 crank with the L28 crank would add some displacement right? i THINK the L24 rods are longer, but if not would switching them with the L28's add displacement? of course some work would need to be done to compensate..but what do you think?Matt Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1727-an-idea/ Share on other sites
May 22, 200222 yr comment_7572 i doubt that you would gain any increase in displacement at all since displacement is the bore x stroke and you wont be making much of a difference in either one....but you might get better compression but not displacement. Think about it this way...the height and width of they cylinders remain the same, all you are changing are the rods. If you want more displacement boring out the cylinders more is an option, but only to a certain extent.
