Another Clutch Problem

Recommended Posts

a few days ago my clutch master cylinder went out, or thats at least what i think. i would have to pump my clutch a few times and then it started working again for a little while then i would have to pump some more. the next day it got much worse and the pedal feels extremely loose and it doesnt matter how much i pump it, it wont work anymore. i think its my master cylinder, how can i be sure though? also, do i need any special tools for this operation or just socket wrenches? thanks

Yes, it means it's leaking. Either under the car at the slave cylinder or inside the car at the back end of the master cylinder.

Like previously mentioned replace them both. Use a flare nut wrench so you don't strip the flare nut.
