September 16, 200519 yr comment_138292 Wait until the head is on the block. Do it right the first time. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17277-adjusting-valves-head-off/#findComment-138292 Share on other sites

September 16, 200519 yr comment_138336 Don't get me wrong. You can set the valves to where they are close to correct with the head off the block. But you will have to adjust them again once the head has been installed. So instead of doing it twice just install the head and do it right the first time. September 17, 200519 yr Author comment_138434 Thats true I dont want to adjust it twice, thanks guys. Is there someone on this site that would happen to have a 78 280z harmonic balancer they would sell me. I bought one for a 240z but the timing marks are in the wrong spot, so now I am selling it back on ebay. The guy wrote on there they are a good upgrade for the 280z but you have to change the timing cover on the 280 to a 240z cover. Please let me know and thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17277-adjusting-valves-head-off/#findComment-138434 Share on other sites
