Take your old radiator to a radiator shop an have it boiled out and rodded. She will be as good as new. September 18, 200519 yr comment_138501 what you will get from 1-800-radiator is a piece of junk. Poorly made, won't last like a radiator should. In the long run you'd be wasting money. If your radiator is still sound (not already ROTTED), follow Ed's advice and have it boiled and rodded. Otherwise, have your local shop RECORE it. If you insist on an aluminum rad, forget the word cheap. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17297-radiator/#findComment-138501 Share on other sites

September 18, 200519 yr comment_138533 Just take your radiator and get it redone at a radiator shop....best thing to do--you know where the core came from as well when you do this. I did this for my radiator and my heater core, both are as good as new...had the top cap/bottom cap of the radiator rewelded on (if that's what they do...) September 19, 200519 yr comment_138543 OEM surplus has 2 78 radiators. He sell his stuff for about 25 percent of list and they are new. You said you wanted aluminum and his would be OEM. I can post the link if you're interested. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17297-radiator/#findComment-138543 Share on other sites
