Hey guys,

It will be time to paint my 77 280Z soon, and I can't decide on the color. It was orgionally silver, but with as many silver cars that are out there these days, I don't want to blend in. The 350Z color daytona blue is my first choice, but now, a real bright white seems pretty cool too. Another color I am considering is the "Atomic Green" that is found on the new VW beetles...its the one that is real light and has a pearl look to it...I know you have seen it around...its got a real retro look to it. OF these colors, which do guys think would look the best??? Of course, If you have another suggestion, I am down for that too!

Thanks!!!! :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:

My Z is white and I love it. However, it's a chore to keep clean.

With white cars you can go with chrome wheels or you can do a white on black contrast theme. With mine, I have black mesh enkei 92 rims and am about to put on a nice tint. It really looks nice with the chrome trim all the way around.

I know picking the right color can be a tough decision...good luck!

I think that #303 Green Metallic, (the Emerald Green) that's on the thread about the paint codes moving to zhome, is nice. You really don't see that color on a Z. The only one I know of that looks close is Ken Jones SC 280Z.

A "Cobalt Blue" looks sharp on a Z also.

Whenever I hear someone wants to change the color of their car I can't help but wonder. Is it going to be a proper paint job? You have to remember that the door jambs and the engine bay will always remain the original color. Unless of course you paint those too. In my opinion keep it the original color. Silver always looks good.
