Rob N Posted September 21, 2005 Share #1 Posted September 21, 2005 Has anyone bought these wheels in 15 x 7? I'd like to see what they look like on our cars.
240ZX Posted September 21, 2005 Share #2 Posted September 21, 2005 Rob, Welcome to the site! Correct me if I'm wrong but, are the wheels you are talking about the same as the wheels that were put on the Z early cars by the dealerships only in 14"? If so, you may want to look through the members gallery for examples. I haven't seen any in 15"x 7", only 14"s. With the 15"s, to maintain the desired tire diameter, you would likely use a lower profile tire. But take a look through the gallery.
Ron Carter Posted September 21, 2005 Share #3 Posted September 21, 2005 I have 14" Silverstones on my roadster and 14" Le Mans on my Z both wheels are Mag wheels so they corrode very easily. As far as I know, they were only available in 14's for Datsuns. Some of these wheels were manufactured in 15" for other vehicles.

gundee Posted September 22, 2005 Share #7 Posted September 22, 2005 I am sure Rob N was asking about the newly released silverstone and anson sprint wheels from American Racing. http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/wheels.asp?currentPage=2§ion=V
Rob N Posted September 22, 2005 Author Share #8 Posted September 22, 2005 Yes I do mean those, thanks Greyghost. It seems to my eye that some aftermarket wheels have an unnatural color which doesn't blend in with the rest of the car like the factory wheels do...know what I mean? Panasports look weird in some of the pictures - like they don't match the chrome trim on the Z so that's why I want to see what people think of the American Racing slots and 8 spokes as well as the Panasports and Konig Rewinds - thanks! Ron Carter Posted September 22, 2005 Share #9 Posted September 22, 2005 Rob N, i guess we got off on a tangent...I guess that American Racing is recycling older names. My vote is for Panasports, they are available in different colors, and are a really well made wheel for the money.Good luck!
