Posted September 22, 200519 yr comment_139076 Does anyone have more pics of this car, in particular I am interested to see in more detail what was done to the rear bumper. (purple car) Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17361-infopics-on-a-brisbane-car-gee/ Share on other sites
September 22, 200519 yr comment_139085 My guess would be they have shortened the main bar, (or used a shorter 2 seater bar.)Then they have cut off the end corner bits where they start to bend. September 22, 200519 yr comment_139090 The bumpers are split into 5 pieces at the corners are elbows that have been modified to sit that way.I know because I was going to do the same thing on my 260z.However I didn't like the look of it so I just took the bumper off altogether.I wouldn't recommend it myself it kinda looks funny/strange. September 22, 200519 yr comment_139115 You cant just modify the corners, the main bar has to be shortened, or the corners will stick out the side of the car. which isnt very pedestrian frendly and will get your car yanked off the road by the cops. September 22, 200519 yr Author comment_139161 OK, just interested to see some close up pics anyway.Looks like a similar idea to Pete Paraska's rear bumper treatment which looks good in my opinion. Shortening the main bar is no problem, my interest is how to for the rounded off edges. I have a junk rear bar I can play with.On my last Z I smoothed the rear but this time around I am a bit wary of any nudges or shopping trolleys hitting the rear. Thanks guys.
