I can't believe that no one bid on it. If i didn't already own 2 fairladys i would have

I think it was partly the price, started at $4500 and had a reserve higher than that even, and partly the lack of good description...this guy does not know what it is he's selling. i.e. look at the title of the auction and you'll notice he has it listed as a '71, then later he says that it's the oldest Z you will ever see on the street...NOT!, then he claims it to be a prototype :stupid:

I believe that he scared some people away with the above items. He only lives about 45 minutes from me and I'm REALLY tempted and REALLY REALLY want it but now is a REALLY bad time financially.

A zero (0) feedback seller of a "rare" car . . . . C'mon, who you kidding? If you could go there and authenticate the car, maybe it's worth a bid. But the thing can't be a "prototype" with a VIN of S3003841. Yes, it's a early Fairlady Z RHD. But it's definitely not what it's being advertised as . . .

I'm willing to give the seller the benefit of the doubt on the "prototype" label, lot's of people don't really understand the the actual meaning of the word.

But no way I'm going to bid on a car like that if I can't look at it in person first.

A lot of people installed the rear side markers on these cars later for safety reasons here in the states. I think this is a real Fairlady Z (ZL) from the pictures, but better pictures sure would be nice. I asked the seller for pictures, but I never got a response.

No one bid on it because the owner doesnt know WTF he is talking about. A JDM fairlady Z isnt worth any more than a USA spec 240Z in the same condition. Its also got a crap 280zx look alike paint job.

He doesnt even know what engine is in it.

I had the oldest Z for the longest time and then I met someone with an older one. What gives it away as a ZL, Ben? I must say that for an early Z, it certainly is cobbled up with aftermarket and replacement riff-raff.
