Ok my 1st rainy day coming, hopefully it will be leak free, a long question though

I bought her this summer, washed it about 5 times, 2nd time I found the only leak it has. Drip molding/squegee, glass doesn't sit flush next to it, it has a small gap that I found water get through. My method until I make the fix has been tape, so I have a few ?'s for the experts. Before I ask I will describe 2 things for ya, the fuzz/filt is a little worn on top of the interior door panel and the run channel is worn out, I will replace both. The squegee looks like new but is just not making contact with the glass, I pushed the rollers out like I found when I did a search but it did nothing much, so I guess my ? is would a new run channel and filt strip make that gap go away? Also since it hasn't sat through a period of rain in my ownership what should I look for in terms of leaks?

As for now I will use tape as seen in the pic.

Those chrome strips with the rubber squeegee are available new. Is the rubber hard or cracking? Replacing the window channel felt won't do much for moving the window closer to the squeegee. I'm not sure of any fixes to get it closer to the glass without getting new squeegee's.

When it comes to leaks. Check your carpets and under the floormatts after it rains. There is a rubber seal on the upper front part of the door. Where the stainless window trim bolts to the door in the front. This rubber seals against the body when the door is closed. Mine used to leak there all the time. I haven't gotten my car wet since I've put in new seals so I don't know if it still does.

Thanks but like I said the squegee and chrome are like new, I just wonder if a new run channel will make a difference. I am honestley thinking of shoving something between the glass and inside trim to push the glass out so its against the the squegee, if new fuzz/felt doesn't also help.

Although the squeegee may LOOK good, it isn't how good it looks, but how pliable the rubber squeege is. If the rubber is stiff, it's shot and it's definitely going to need the interior trim to be pushing the glass out.

I'm not sure what you mean by "pushing the rollers", but if my fears are correct, someone told you to bend the pressure roller in the door outward because that way the glass wouldn't be pushed away from the squeegee. Well, in a nutshell, that's BS. You don't destroy or damage another piece because another one isn't functioning properly. Your original thought of replacing the felt on the door panel is the proper fix.

Ask Beandip to tell you how his are working, he just recently replaced the felt strip on his door panels.

Lastly what do you mean by "run channel"? That one left me stumped.

Those rollers inside the door shouldn't be moved from where they originally were. A little lube might be needed (if any) but it should be fine like it is. Look for another reason why the squeegee isn't making a good seal. It might not be mounted so the rubber is touching properly.
