October 2, 200519 yr comment_140135 Ted- Location and address is on our web site. Our next meeting is Oct. 13. We usually show up around 6:30. We're not a very big club but the regulars are a pretty good group to hang with. October 2, 200519 yr comment_140187 I've been using only the electric fuel pump on my 73 240 for like 20 years. This helped eliminate vapor locking too as I could hear fuel boiling in that mech fuel pump whenever I shut things off.Have fun with it!don Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17424-not-using-the-mech-fuel-pump/?&page=2#findComment-140187 Share on other sites
October 2, 200519 yr comment_140203 :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: That's weird I thought you had to use mechanical fuel pump on a 260z head?????? okJust remove the mech pump and trace the base shape and cut a plate from some aluminum and use a pump gasket to seal the plate and bolt it on. Use short enough bolt so you don't damage anything if the holes are blind. I cant remember if the holes were blind or not. I had some 1/8'' aluminum and used that. When polished it looks professional.
