:stupid: :stupid: :stupid: That's weird I thought you had to use mechanical fuel pump on a 260z head?????? ok

You remove the pump and install a block off plate to keep the oil from coming out if you are using an early head like an E88.

Ted- Location and address is on our web site. Our next meeting is Oct. 13. We usually show up around 6:30. We're not a very big club but the regulars are a pretty good group to hang with.

i have a 74.5 electric pump out of a 260z with carbs...Nissan Oem was bought in '90 or so for $400 at Nissan...was used for about a year...has been in the garage since...let me know if you want to buy it.

I've been using only the electric fuel pump on my 73 240 for like 20 years. This helped eliminate vapor locking too as I could hear fuel boiling in that mech fuel pump whenever I shut things off.

Have fun with it!

Just remove the mech pump and trace the base shape and cut a plate from some aluminum and use a pump gasket to seal the plate and bolt it on. Use short enough bolt so you don't damage anything if the holes are blind. I cant remember if the holes were blind or not. I had some 1/8'' aluminum and used that. When polished it looks professional. Gary
