Posted September 29, 200519 yr comment_139842 I am a new member and was wondering if anyone has experience with swapping a 3.8L L67 supercharged engine in a 240Z? I have started my project and the car has been stripped of interior and engine bay parts to ready for glass beading the complete body. I have the L67 engine and cleaning and making small modifications and will be ready to install within a month. I do have some rust in the rear quarter panels and have purchased two parts cars and got the quarter skins but would prefer full rear quarter panels. I also need a rust free hood if anyone in the St. Louis, MO area has one for sale. Will be using a Mustang T5 transmission and will change the rear to a stronger one. Thanks for any information anyone can provide. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17425-l67-engine-swap-in-71-240z/ Share on other sites

September 30, 200519 yr Author comment_139942 Thanks for the information of hybridZ, I will check the site out. Do you know of anyone that has the full rear quarter panels? Arne is correct, this engine came from a 98 Riviera in a salvage yard. I am making minor modifications to the engine before I install it. I have a 2001 Bonneville L67 in a 89 Buick Reatta now. I had a guy that lived in IA install it for me. He specialized in L67 and other engines in Fieros. He did a nice job. This swap I will do a lot of the work myself. September 30, 200519 yr comment_139993 Over at http://www.zcar.com, there is a user who goes by the name Scottie-GNZ. He transplanted the motor from a Buick Grand National into his Z. He might be hanging out at Hybridz, too, but I wouldn't know because I'm not much of a hybridz type.
