September 29, 200519 yr comment_139857 There's a long weekend? :surprised Two weeks till my thesis is due.....pretty flat out with that at the moment.....so no zedding happening around here. When it's over though, I should finally have some spare time to bolt the new engine together. I'm really looking forward to that! September 29, 200519 yr comment_139859 Hi George.Roll call time for aussie zed owners, eh.Just moved house, not got broadband at the moment. So i'll be spending more time out in the double garage sized shed, once I get it cleared out and some zed parts moved in. September 29, 200519 yr Author comment_139860 Hi there guys Been a while for me Rick. I haven't even had the pleasure of seeing my Z in the garage for over 3 months now. September 29, 200519 yr comment_139863 Well hello all aussies. I'm on uni holidays until tues and i've just fixed a few problems with the zed so i've had a good bit of zedding. Went for an hour and a half burn through the hills on thurs and discovered some great driving roads - I downloaded the maps for classic adelaide and started from there. Need some new brake pads now though, i've worn them out good and proper. Anyone else have a look at the bay to birdwood 1700 cars were supposed to have turned up despite the wet weather. I rocked up in the arvo and there were less than that there but i did see a few 240s turned up. I'll post some more pics soon. September 29, 200519 yr comment_139865 Hi all. I guess I'm one of the blokes who is lucky enough to drive the Z every day. Seems strange that I have a '"special" car that I pull out of the garage for the weekend. And it gets more looks than the Z. Not as fast though.I would have thought the dry winter months would see more driving, rather than the rainy summer months? September 29, 200519 yr comment_139877 Mines still sitting in the shed on the rotisserie, just about ready to throw it in the bin today. Spent 4 hours migging stuff and at the end of it its only a 10cmx10cm area, have to hate quadruple layers of steel. Add that to the fact that the other cars in the "Fleet" all need serious work too and the fun of old cars seems to be rapidly diminishing.I have the mini sitting with its freshly rebuilt motor out of it again because I was supplied with the wrong oil seal. The landrover is up on jackstands with the brakes apart still trying to chase the unknown cause for brakes only working on 2 of the 4 wheels (now think it might be a rubber line collapsing internally under pressure)Dont you guys ever get really sick of old cars and just think that life would be easier with a little hot hatch or something?Chris Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17426-umm-hi-hi/#findComment-139877 Share on other sites

Then I come back to my senses.....or maybe more to the point, my sensibility goes straight back out the window again. September 29, 200519 yr comment_139880 Hi All, I have sold one of my three 240Z and now I am back down to just having the two. The RB26 car still sits in the garage waiting for money and motivation to be thrown at it. But since its not at my place its hard to do any work to it.Looking to buy another Ozzy delivered R32 GTR at the moment since I stupidly sold my previous one to put a deposit for the house. Biggest mistake I have ever done... So I have been searching for another ever since! 1 of 100 - I guess the odds are better then winning Lotto so its not too bad.
