Posted October 3, 200519 yr comment_140325 I have a '71... Most of the lights, horn and flashers seem to work now..My Question is exactly which lights are to come on with the running lights on?which lights are supposed to come on with the hazard switch on?which lights are supposed to come on with the turn signal? It seems that only my turn signal lights do not work...and yes I replaced the relay.Help!John in Jersey Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17479-turn-signal-and-running-lights/ Share on other sites
October 4, 200519 yr comment_140338 Verify your hazzard switch-I think it has gone...(It may still work-but not be flowing power for the lights when in the off position-it is a "live" switch.)Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17479-turn-signal-and-running-lights/#findComment-140338 Share on other sites
October 4, 200519 yr comment_140366 Could also be your turn signal switch, but hopefully not because it is EXPENSIVE to replace. The switch takes all of the current to the turn signal lights and carbon tracking, dirt & grime take their toll. These systems were not designed to last 30 years & are generally well past their intended lifetime. October 25, 200717 yr comment_226051 With the running lights on all side lights are on and the top set of lights in the back and the front turn lights.Hazard lights: front blinkers and all three lights in the back but not the reverse.Turn: front and all three on the side that is blinking in the back.Check and make sure all you light bulbs and sockets are clean/good. I wired my 1970 and the color wireing diagram from Prospero's Garage saved me! check it out wwwslash5.com best $20 I've spent.
