Posted October 4, 200519 yr comment_140358 Hi all,I've been trying to get some of the above bushes for my 2+2 and am having difficulting geting them in.I ordered a set of Noltec's about 4 months ago, had them arive at my local AutoOne but never picked them up as I was very busy at the time and the car was getting some rust removed at the time. Now I have the car back and some time on my hands I have re ordered them through the same place and they have not come in (more than 2 weeks when I was told it would be overnight). I have made an enquiry at another spares dealer and been told the part is discontinued????Anyone know where I can get these from? Desperately need them to pass blueslip (only thing that I was knocked back on) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17483-diff-mountmoustache-bar-bushes/ Share on other sites

October 4, 200519 yr Author comment_140395 I asked at the local 'supercheap' and he had the superpro catalogue on his computer, when he looked up the bushes and clicked on them they came up as product unavailable and told me they mustn't make them anymore.HOw long ago did you buy yours? October 4, 200519 yr comment_140397 allzparts in NSW should have genuine rubber ones which is what I would use on the diff anyway.Pay upfront, have them posted to your door...no stuffing around. Easy. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17483-diff-mountmoustache-bar-bushes/#findComment-140397 Share on other sites

October 4, 200519 yr Author comment_140399 My mechanic just called. He has 'made' some from something intended for another car that was very similar. He said that the clunk has now gone when you get on/off the accelerator (I think that was the diff hitting the chasis) but there is still some noise from the back but it doesn't feel like someone hitting slapping you upside the head anymore. I'm off to pick it up in half an hour. Should be good enough to pass rego now. If i'm not happy with it I'll order some genuine ones from Allzparts later. Thanks for your help and I'll let you know how they go. October 5, 200519 yr Author comment_140520 well I got the car back. Drove it about 10kms and it is definitely a huge improvement over what it was a few weeks ago. Still has some movement in it I think, but if you stick a jack under the diff it doesn't raise 2 inches anymore. Hopefull the inspector thinks its ok now.Funny thing though, I had the ball joints at the front replaced as well. Inspecting the tierod ends showed that the grease nipples had never been fitted.... Ever! So from what I can see they have been runing for almost 30 years with no grease in them, but they are still nice and tight, very little movement. Go Nissan!
