240ZMan Posted October 11, 2005 Share #6 Posted October 11, 2005 Check out his feedback. He's made them private, and he has 1 negative this month, 3 in the past 6 months, and 6 in the past year. Plus, there's no explanation why this motor was built and is now being sold without ever being fired up. Bidding on this one would be too risky for me... But it sure is beautiful
78 280zcar Posted October 11, 2005 Author Share #7 Posted October 11, 2005 I bought an N-47 head off of this guy, when I got the head the cam had fallen out along with all the rockers and lash pads. The cam had smashed the bearing towers and I had to get a new cam and use my old bearing towers. The holes for the coolant flow were all covered up with the material they use to fill in cracks or whatever and they never redrilled the holes after resurfacing it. I didnt know it was the same guy until you said something.
hls30.com Posted October 11, 2005 Share #8 Posted October 11, 2005 I have had a highly questionable experience with this seller-ask lots of questions, get the answers before sending any money, make sure that you have some way of getting a refund if he sends you a beautiful piece of yard art! Will
madkaw Posted October 11, 2005 Share #9 Posted October 11, 2005 I bought a set of SU's from this guy that were supposedly ready for assembly. The pics looked great but when I got them there was carbon goo still in the piston anf body. Parts were missing--- like--- the whole center shaft. I complained and he never responded so I negatived his arse. He did give me my money back though when I removed my feedback. Be careful!!
madkaw Posted October 11, 2005 Share #10 Posted October 11, 2005 I got to say that I bought a pair of NEW SU's off of ebay the other day and I am hoping for no suprises since i won them at 225$. The gut was kinda of mad that they went so low but I 've been there so i know what he's feelin.I'm like a dog with his tail wagging ready to meet the UPS man
78 280zcar Posted October 11, 2005 Author Share #11 Posted October 11, 2005 I have had my fill of people on ebay, I sold a gameboy with four games (I know I am a big kid) the gameboy was a month old and I sold it for a 128.00 dollars, but the guy wanted it overnight to Canada well it reached him/her 10 days later so I get this email from paypal saying that they paid with a stolen credit card, after I sent the item to them (him/her). I paid bills with the money they paid me and went paypal overdrawn because they got there money back and they wanted the 70.00 dollars it cost for shipping. So I didnt get the money for ther gamesboy and they screwed me for another 200.00 dollars for my bank account. I dont know how they did it but they did. I wrote ebay about that and they never replied.
madkaw Posted October 11, 2005 Share #12 Posted October 11, 2005 I haven't had any thing that bad but I am waiting. I bought a headlight bezel the other week that had "surface" rust. When I got it it had HOLES in it. Anyway it turned out that this lady was selling it for someone else and she didn't know so she gave me my money back.I had real good luck parting out a 280zxt on ebay also, mostly the buyers were good to deal with and paid on time.
