Fujitsubo Twin System

NZeder

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just wanting to know if anyone has a sound file of the full Fujitsubo dual/twin system on a Zed or any other L6 power car aka C10/C110 (Jim aka g72s20 recorded yours yet?). I have made the big decision and ordered the Stainless headers 6-2 and the complete twin system from Fujitsubo so I would like to know what it might sound like (will take 2 months as they have to make it, non stock items)

Cheers

Mike

That looks expensive!

I bet I can't buy it here...

It is coming from Japan = cost a fair bit. I believe this is simular to the dual system offer by Nissan as an option in Japan back in the 70's.

I am sure with the right contact you could get one also - best thing to do is find a Japanese performance/import shop that has contacts in Japan and talk to them and see if they can order the bits you are after (we might be lucky here in NZ as we get a lot of JDM cars so therefore a lot of the aftermarket suppliers also do business in this part of the world).

And most of all have an understanding partner and save like 40 b~$%ards.

  • 1 month later...

Well the header arrived the other day - now I can't wait for the rest of the system and to complete my car so I can hear the note it will produce.

Here is the picture of my header (not one from another site that I found before I placed the order)

That header doesn't look like it would fit a LHD car. I have looked at a few headers on the Spirit Garage website and I think one of them might fit a LHD car. I would really like to get a similar exhaust to the Fujitsubo twin pipe system. Spirit Garage makes a stainless steel system and it too is very sexy. I bet your car is going to sound great.

That system was on my Skyline when I got it. The only difference was that I had a Trust header. The car was the meanest sounding L series I had ever owned. The L20 was very old and tired and had no grunt left in it. But it did sound menacing. I sold the header but still have the twice pipes and muffler in the back yard. I plan on tossing it as I have no use for it and the muffler has a good sized hole in it. But it is complete from the collector back. If someone here wants it they are welcome to pick it up before it goes to the dump.

I think you might be right Ben, I don't think it would work on the LHD cars, once I put the car back together I will take some measurement for just in case (you never know). The Fujitsubo is like the Spirit in that it is stainless steel also just the flanges are not SS.
