Posted October 14, 200519 yr comment_141689 I have a set of halfshafts (maybe thre driveshaft too) from a low-mileage 1978 280Z. Very good condition. I'm wondering if they still have good enough value to put up for sale here or just recycle to the metal-man? thx Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17614-value-of-low-mileage-halfshafts/ Share on other sites

October 14, 200519 yr comment_141780 Concidering that new or well rebuilt ones can be had for about 48 each with a lifetime gaurantee, they would have some value.Put them on ebay it seems thats where all the lazy people are that cant seem to search and or go to a auto parts store for something, should do well there. October 15, 200519 yr comment_141805 I'm curious, where can they be had for $48 ea? For that price I want a set. Last time I saw a price they were listed at over $200 ea from Nissan, even though they were NLA anyway. October 15, 200519 yr comment_141879 Well I got this from my local auto parts store, though they are for S130 CV's, and I know I shouldnt assume but I would guess that the half shafts for the Z would or should be close. As I have just checked, they are a bit more expensive, Kragen, Checkers and Parts America have them for 78.99 each lifetime warranty.A bit more then the CV's, but still available locally and much less expensive then Nissan. October 15, 200519 yr comment_141887 I'd say so! If they are available for that price, I can't imagine why anyone would go through the hassle of rebuilding H/S themselves. By the time you buy ujoints and new boots, you would have almost $40 into parts for each, then value of your time........fo'getaboutit! I've done it before and it's a PITA.
