I'm mostly doing the spreadsheets just to track "where I'm currently at with a certain area" vs "where I need to be" in terms of what still needs to be done. I'm pretty sure who ever wants to use them will change them to suit their own needs. Bottom line is...From my perspective, it looks like they (The spreadsheets in whatever form they take) will help everyone with tracking whats going on with their car(s). I'm open to suggestions as to how or where to put them, or I can send them to each person that wants to get what I currently have done. Heck...for that matter...if everyone did two or three sections out of the microfiche...the whole microfiche could/would be done in no time...Just a thought...

Remember to makes any changes to the spreadsheet based on your model year as there will be "some" differences between model years...but for the most part should be pretty accurate...

Not at all! If you want to track the cost of a part, you have to track the FULL cost. If you're only tracking partialities your grand total is pointless. OK, so maybe I wouldn't include the petrol or beer but still

There is no getting "too anal" when it comes to taking care of 26 and 27.

yes and no...Some areas will be pretty generic (I.E. - 90-1 Front Suspension, Rear Suspension) and other areas are more model specific to that model year. (I.E. - 38-1 Fuel Pump) It just depends on which model year you have and make any changes to the spreadsheets as needed according to the microfiche.

I've got a 1975 280Z. So if you see anything on the spreadsheet(s) that I've marked as N/A, it may pertain to your model year, but not for mine. Which is why I've been saying right from the get-go...compare what you have to the spreadsheet and make any changes as needed to get it right for your model year....

What about scanning a copy of the MF into Textbridge, Omnipage, or other OCR, and exporting the file to Access, and setting up a relational file set?

That way all models and parts would be covered, and the supercession data could be used to filter for model specific entries.
