Marty and Bill at the track Sunday

Recommended Posts

This past Sunday I stopped over at Road America to watch Marty Rogan and Bill Oaks tear up the track at the annual MFBA October open track day event.

They ran hard all day and never had to do more than check fluids and torque lug nuts. Many others were changing pads, rotors, tires etc.

Some more pictures of the 2 Zcars can be seen at this MFBA club members gallery.

Hey Steve!

Thanks for the kind words. It was great to meet you. Your car was looking pretty fine too!

It was a perfect day, cool enough for the cars and warm enough for us drivers, with the beautiful fall colors at their peak.

The cars ran strong all day. I put 132 track miles on the car without a hickup. It's really a testament to the build quality of these cars.

We weren't the fastest cars out there. Some guys were hitting 130-150 on the straights, but the old 240's were keeping up with them in the turns. Let's face it, that's where the fun is!!

I can't wait to see those greyghost pictures! Send me a PM when you get them developed.

Marty
