GRS Sports Auto

Hi All,

I've had the last week off work and while out and about a 1977 260Z 2+2 caught my eye in a Car yard with a price tag of AU$1699. To cut a long story short I'm now $500 poorer but one very bad shape 260Z richer...

I only intend to use her for parts as the body has rusted beyond repair, and I think it it rains too hard in the next few weeks I'll be driving a convertible! Thats how rusty the roof is! Anyway the engine is mint and has a very nice set of the earlier round topped SU's. (I'll attach photo's when I get them back)

The point of this post however is what the compliance plate reads.

My other 260Z 2+2 which is about build number 16000 shows "260Z 2+2" as expected. The new car however shows "2+2 GRS Sports Auto".

Now this car is around build number 4000 and has had 1975 stamped over with 1977 on the compliance plate.

What I want to know is what is the difference and is there anything special about this one??

Cheers,

Ross.
