Posted October 30, 200519 yr comment_143710 hi all, What is the OEM color of the grrill on the hood of the 280Z 1977?I have it painted in black, but many old z Pictures have the same color as the body, I think that same color look nicer than black..any comments?thanks. October 31, 200519 yr comment_143767 I thought it was meant to be dark grey - the same colour as the rear tail light panel possibly. I know some members here have restored theirs so they will be able to help more . I bought it from the original owner. They were black then and he never had the car painted. I've seen them both ways. The cover on the left side is to keep water off of the manifolds/injectors etc. I don't know why they didn't put one on the other side also to keep water off of the spark plugs/wires.
