Recommend good Z Mechanic in Phoenix?

I just got a 1970 240Z and could use some help mechanically getting it tuned up and checked out. I went to a couple of garages near my house and they told me that the 20 year old kids that work there have never seen a carburetor.

Does anyone know of a good ZCar place in the Phoenix area?

Spanky's and Thorpe's motor works are both very experienced with older Zs. Look under the Discounts section of www.desertzassociation.com. Spanky's is on the east side, Thorpe's is in north central Phoenix. If you join you can even get a discount...

You can try Gary Meekins at Spanky's Auto Body on Alma School Road (644-0060). He has done a lot of work on my car. Gary is extremely knowlegeable with Z's and works very closely with Arizona Z car. Just to give you an idea of how good I think he is, I live in El Paso, Texas, and drive the 400 miles to Gary when something critical needs to be fixed.....
