Steve, I'm not quite sure I follow. You want to see pix of how the throttle connects to the carbs from the gas peddle? For what specific application (stock SUs, 4bbl, triple carb set up, etc)?

sorry i apologize, i posted that in haste, i want to convert my 72 to a throttle cable as apposed to the linkage setup, i have a l28 with triple webers, and yah i'm trying to go from the pedal to the actual arms on the linkage of the carbs...i'm thinking i'll probably have to swap out to a different gas pedal but i'm not sure, just looking to see if anyone has any info from past experiences....

Here's a pic of a car I had last year. This was a cable that went from the gas peddle to the carb. Keep in mind that this was a 4bbl conversion and that it may not be exactly what you are after; it should at least give you the basic idea.

This is a HUGE pic/file so if you are a dial up you may not want to open it, on a fast connection it will still take about 1 minute (maybe more) to fully load.

perfect! thats just what i was looking for, since i didn't really want to modify my pedal...but one question, is that a bought bracket on the carb side? or did you make it one off...and correct me if i'm wrong but is that the 24" lokar cable?

I made the bracket behind the OE bracket at the firewall and the one at the valve cover. The VC bracket is bolted to the back two intake studs. I also made and welded on the lever on the actuator rod. Several holes were drilled in hopes of some adjustability for full throttle movement and pedal pressure. There is also a tubular piece made to extend the actuator rod from the firewall as can be seen easily in the photo. I figured it would help spread out the rotational forces of the linkage instead of simply welding a lever on the end of the cross rod. The cable was a 36" Lokar that I cut to length. I did not modify to throttle linkage at all. I used the cup similar to the original Lokar piece. It snapped right over the ball on the original linkage. It came out real sweet. The only noticable difference is a heavier pedal due to the extra spring forces of three carbs.

This is a little late. I hope you found a good solution. If not, you can check my gallery for a photo of my cable linkage setup. I installed the triple setup in April 2006 and converted to cable about 3 weeks ago. So far... so good.
