Posted May 30, 200222 yr comment_8009 Now mind you that I am absolutly broke and could not afford a new Z if I wanted to. I was looking around, window shopping if you will, and ran upon a couple of VERY nice 280ZX cars. It certainly would be nice to have a playmate for my Z. I was thinking, fantasizing actually:Chevy 350 -w- T56 6-speed. Ram air. R230 rear end. [sigh]I know, I should be flirting with the idea. Probably shouldn't be listening to those guys at www.hybridz.org at all. June 3, 200222 yr comment_8200 Well, its empty for starters. No drivetrain. Interior is stripped. Some rust here and there. A few dents here and there, but no bondo. The car does not appear to have ever been wrecked, but it is a bit banged up. Original paint (609). It's pretty bad. It's going to the crusher as soon as I get anything else valuable off it. I got it for free just for the master and clutch cylinders and steering rack. But it rolls. That's about all it does.steve77 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1795-looking-at-280zx-stop-me-before-its-too-late/#findComment-8200 Share on other sites
June 3, 200222 yr Author comment_8216 Yipe! Yipe! Yipe! Thanks but it does seem a bit far to go for a rolling chassis. California is what, 1500 miles from Oklahoma?
