Calif Z on Ebay

The gentleman that runs the Opentrack racing events at Willowsprings showed me some pics of his Z for sale on Ebay, and here is his note regarding the car.

He has many nice cars and builds them right, doesn't mess around with the cheap stuff. Anyone interested the car he is in the L.A. area... might be able to find it on Ebay or I could put you in contact with him. Here is his recent message when I asked him about his Z.

"Craig,

I bought the car for a good price and built it myself. I have the car on ebay for sale right now, it's at $5,400 with no reserve and only 2 days to go. Someone is going to get a nice car for cheap. The car has the original 6.

Thanks, Kailo"

here's the pics...

Your kidding? Don't tell me another car was attack by the "Purist-Vultures" Missed that one, but thought this was a clean looking Z from the pics and know that he would not be pushing junk! Not a resto-for perfection, but darn nice driver. :classic:

Hmmm, seems each of us have a different idea of wheels, and as far a engine compartment... nothing but a little elbow grease, fresh paint & dess-up parts couldn't fix in a couple week-ends (or years for some of us!).

Damn for that price and little work it would probably make shame for 90% of the cars doing the picking! LOL

Funny thing is, I bet if you go back and look at have the dollar consuming, rust rotting Zs, people here are driving this could be a better deal! :stupid:

I meant no disrespect by my comment on the engine bay. It's just a shock (at least to me) to see what appears to be a very nice car and then they pop the hood and wammo, neglect. Seems someone who's put some effort into body, paint and interior would at least clean the engine compartment.

Maybe because it's nice on the outside that the slightest bit of crud really stands out.

Different strokes for different folks.

ya no problem, seems dirty compared to the rest of the car...

Just spoke with the owner, he had a neighbor that owned the car for many years and it was originally yellow paint. He purchased it from the older gentleman and worked it into a nice driveable car. So it probably looks this way under the hood cause the original owner wasn't in the chrome or hot rodding the Z- motor wise. :)
