Finally Got Em, My New Fat 3 Piece 17" Wheels

After a 6 week wait I've finally got my new 17" ROH wheels. 8.5 inch -6 for the front and 9.5 inch -19 at rear to be mounted with 225 front and 255 at rear. Looking forward to picking up the freshly painted ZG flares this coming week to fit that rubber under. Hopefully they'll be on the car by next week!

holy moses! i can't remember the last time i liked a set of wheels and that includes going to the international car show tampa just yesterday. i am exceedingly finicky about what i like and i must say you've got me smileing at what these wheels will look like.

good on ya.....

also good luck with the sizes. i have 8 inch front and rear with custom flares and when i uped the tire size from 265/50/15 to 275/50/15 (which is .20 inches wider and slightly taller) it blew out the "look".

i hope you have a way to know or a very patient tire guy to let you play cause i found it to be very tricky without seeing the tire on the wheel on the car.

do you have coil overs?

Yeh, you would need flares with those phat wheels, like em, going to look massive. $?

Glad to see that everyone is following my ZG flare lead

260DET I think I saw your car at Goulburn earlier this year for the Nationals but I was driving out of the car park with a trailer on track day and did'nt get a chance to pull up and check your car out but it did get me thinking that the ZG flared look is something rarely seen in Australia so here I go!

Oh and they cost me AUD$1800 which converts to about USD$1350 I think for our US friends.

Thanks David,

I'm pretty sure the tyre combo I have chosen should look the part as I have looked at dozens of pics with different tyre sizes with this wheel size and have settled for the 255 at the back.

I do not have coil overs but I based the offset on the Watanabes in 16" that suit "stock" suspension set up! I guess I'll find out later this week.

Cheers

A$1800 a set for big custom wheels is good, thought they would be around $500 each at least. Weight?

Yeh avatar car was at the Goulburn Nationals, had only fitted the flares a few weeks before then. Looks a bit silly with the 7" road wheels but good with the 8" track wheels. Yours should look brilliant :)
