CRrider1988 Posted November 16, 2005 Share #1 Posted November 16, 2005 When i bought my car it was going to need a new clutch so the PO gave me a Borg Warner clutch kit,, i think its like 6 piecies. The clutch went out and i dident have time to do it myself so i sent it to the clutch doctor and was going to have them use my parts but they would not put a warrenty on it so i just kept them and had them use theirs. My question is how much is a Borg Warner clutch kit worth? i want to sell it. It is brand new still shrink wrapped.
sblake01 Posted November 16, 2005 Share #2 Posted November 16, 2005 Borg Warner makes a good quality kit. When you say 6 pieces, is that disc, plate, t.o. bearing, pilot bushing, alignment tool, and ?. In other words, what is the sixth piece? The bearing collar? Victor Laury Posted November 18, 2005 Share #4 Posted November 18, 2005 No more than any other moderate quality clutch. Borg Warner is pretty generic. I'd choose a Dankin over a BW. ... $150.00?
Virto Posted November 18, 2005 Share #5 Posted November 18, 2005 Sounds about right.I know clutch kits from www.autobarn.com for the 280Z cost from 140 to 170 depending on the brand. You should try offering it for sale for a hundred bucks or so and I bet someone will snatch it up.
