Posted November 18, 200519 yr comment_146377 Just curious if anyone has an educated guess on the weight of a stripped240z. Engine, transmission, doors, all the way down to the hull. Am workingon a rotisserie alternative and this info will help. I know I saw a thread herein the past where someone stated that they were able to take lift one offthe back of a trailer using only 4 people. Thanks. November 18, 200519 yr comment_146378 I'd say about 350 lbs. My neighbor and i was able to pick up and move my body shell around. IT WAS HEAVY! but we were able to do it. There wasn't a single screw left in it when we did, Bare, bare nakkid Fairlady Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18066-weight-of-stripped-car/#findComment-146378 Share on other sites

November 18, 200519 yr comment_146407 I cut a 4x4 post the width of the car and drilled it to fit the mustache bar bolts. At each end of the 4x4, I bolted a castor wheel from Harbor Freight - the large ones. I pick the car up at the front frame rails and wheel it around. The front is real light. The back takes two guys to lift. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18066-weight-of-stripped-car/#findComment-146407 Share on other sites
November 18, 200519 yr comment_146410 It can't be much, the only thing I took out of mine at the time we picked mine up was the engine and tranny, everything esle was still on it and 3 of us picked the front up about 2 1/2 foot to the trailer then picked up the rear and pushed it up! November 18, 200519 yr comment_146419 A member on HybridZ weighed a bare unibody and reported 520#, but I don't recall what year chassis it was. A search would probably turn it up.John Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18066-weight-of-stripped-car/#findComment-146419 Share on other sites
